For over 22 years Rick Freeman has specialized in representing individuals and families in personal
injury and wrongful death claims. He has successfully represented persons who were injured as the
result automobile accidents, truck accidents, construction accidents, on-the-job injuries, injuries
caused by defective products, medical malpractice and injuries caused by premises defects. Rick
Freeman has represented clients in personal injury lawsuits all over Texas. He has been Board
Certified as a Personal Injury Trial Law Specialist since 1986.
The firm nearly always handles these types of cases on a contingency contract basis –no fee is due
until a successful resolution of the claim.
Rick Freeman has represented businesses and companies who seek to recover damages or who are
facing potential or on-going litigation. Our firm offers cost-effective and efficient representation
for companies needing representation by a trial specialist. We have found that early involvement when
litigation is threatened can, in many instances, resolve the matter without costly and time consuming
litigation.
The firm offers a number of ways to handle the cost of this representation, depending on the type of
lawsuit and the needs of the client.
Rick Freeman has represented individuals and businesses who have been denied benefits owed to them
under their insurance policies. It is not unusual to have an insurer wrongfully deny or delay
benefits or representation to an insured. If an insurer wrongfully denies a claim, we can force them
to live up to their contractual duties. In addition, we represent individuals and businesses with
claims against them, making sure that the insurer looks out for our client's best interest and not
the insurer's. We stand beside our client to make sure their insurer treats them fair.
We offer representation on both a contingency basis and hourly basis depending on the type of claim
and desires of our clients.
Rick Freeman represents law enforcement associations and individual officers with regard to
employment and disciplinary matters. With regard to employment and disciplinary matters, this
includes representation from the first interview through trial or arbitration of the matter. We find
that early representation many times results in early resolution of the disciplinary matter. An
experienced trial lawyer on your side, familiar with the law and policies, many times will shorten
the investigation and reduce the stress of the situation.
In addition, Rick Freeman has represented officers facing licensing actions by TCLEOSE and other
matters affecting their ability to be a licensed peace officer. He has also successfully represented
officers with claims for denial of their pay and benefits owed to them under the law or the
organization's personnel policies.
When an officer is sued, he usually will be represented by his employer. Many times officers hire us
to make sure the employer looks out for the officer's interest. On occasion the employer denies
representation to the officer or has a conflict and cannot represent the officer. In those cases, we
offer experienced representation for the officer. On occasion, we are able to get the employer to
reimburse the officer for the costs of our representation.
We offer representation on both a contingency basis and hourly basis depending on the type of claim
and desires of our clients.
Rick Freeman has represented individuals and employees who have been sexually abused or sexually
harassed. Both State and Federal laws provide protection for employees from sexual abuse or
harassment. In addition, State law provides protection for individuals in hospitals and other treatment settings from
sexual exploitation. Rick Freeman has successfully represented claims of this nature on behalf of his
clients.
We offer representation on both a contingency basis and hourly basis depending on the type of claim
and desires of our clients.
Rick Freeman represents individuals and businesses who are dealing with mold or other toxic
substances. He has successfully represented owners of buildings with infestation of mold and other
toxic substances. He has also successfully represented owners of buildings constructed on land
containing toxic substances. These are very difficult and complicated claims and need the
representation by knowledgeable counsel, experienced in both the science and the law.
We offer representation on both a contingency basis and hourly basis depending on the type of claim
and desires of our clients.
